In January, 2009, Michelle Obama became the 44th First Lady of the United States of America. She spent her time as First Lady being a role model, educator and international inspiration. She collaborated with world leaders, was an advocate for race and gender equality, highlighted the value of education, and inspired and believed in even the youngest citizens. Michelle Obama’s strength and intellect was equally matched with her humor, authenticity, grace and her undeniable, iconic sense of style.
Along with the global fashion community, Mrs. Obama has been a role model for French Allure. In all that she does, she is a woman who presents herself with class and strength, embodying her statement, “when they go low, we go high.”
In 2008, when running for office, the Obama campaign repeatedly stated their message, “Yes We Can!” The past eight years have proven this to be true. We thank Ms. Obama for the gift of hope and strength she has given all people, in every walk of life. Because of her, more people believe, “Yes I Can!” We will miss your presence in the White House, but we hope to see you running as America’s first woman president in 2020. Until then, we look forward to seeing your continued fashion leadership...perhaps even in a bit of French Allure.
Madame Obama, we applaud you--Bravo!
