I am very honored to be part of the Female Entrepreneurs Worldwide group and got another opportunity to meet fellow entrepreneurs at the #RETHINKFASHION event held this Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Hong Kong. Focused on telling the inspiring stories of Hong Kong based fashion and accessories brands, the event lifted the lid on real success stories in the world of entrepreneurial fashion.
I had the privilege of sharing my experiences with a talented panel comprising of Jeanine Hsu - the founder and designer of niin, June Lau - the founder and designer of Novel Fineries and Christina Lau Tam- Employee Communications, HSBC on ‘Our journey as fashion entrepreneurs and how to stand out in a crowded market’.
Born half-French and half-Chinese, I always drew inspiration from both the cultures. 15 years of collaboration with international retailers and top creatives culminated in the launch of my own brand: French Allure in October 2016. Having been fascinated with the world of fashion since I was little, I now infuse timeless French chic with the uniquely Asian penchant for bold, modern experimentation in my creations.
My inspiration - "The power of being a ‘woman’ inspires me. Through my creations I try to create an allure that expresses oneself and empowers women."
Advice for young entrepreneurs-“Don’t let what you don’t know scare you. There’s so much you will learn once you start your business, be open to learning! And have the passion, driven by hard work to make your business a success. Nothing is easy, but failure and struggles are the best teachers on this amazing journey of self-discovery. Love what you do and you will succeed!’’
The event also showcased the Summer 2017 collection by French Allure. Take a look on how to achieve fabulous looks that suit both the workplace and your life!!
